ABSTRACT

This research describes inefficiencies found in the medical device supply chain. It reviews the history, operational strategy, procurement process, and the relationships that govern the economics of the device sector. A brief description of the lean production transformation from the perspective of one company will be examined. Some suggested recommendations are provided to improve the process in the future.
