ABSTRACT
Project Management Fundamentals’ course provides an understanding of the tools and
techniques required to manage a project from inception to implementation. This study focuses on
evaluating the various modes of instruction used to teach an undergraduate online Project
Management Fundamentals course. The results, based on statistical analysis of an in-class survey,
compare the modes of instruction to their respective grades, and document recommended hours to
be spent on various modes of instruction. The results of the analysis do not show strong preference
toward any mode of instruction; however, the grades associated with each mode of instruction do
fluctuate. The total hours spent on the five modes of instruction reveal that students spend more
time on the five modes than the university standard for course workload.
