ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to carry out a comparative analysis for the various change
models in order to figure out the most suitable model to use in enterprise resource planning (ERP)
implementation projects. This study also explores characteristics, commonalities, and differences
between some of the highly used models in industry. It is concluded that Kotter’s change
management model could be adopted as an appropriate change model in the ERP implementation.
This study shows that ERP implementers can benefit from understanding the diverse change
models when considering what will work for their project and how to apply Kotter’s model in a
most effective way.
