Abstract

This study aims to understand whether organizational identification plays an
intermediary role in the relationship between psychological contract violation and job
satisfaction. If the psychological contract is not respected, it is thought that employees tend to
leave the organization. For individuals with a high level of job satisfaction and organizational
identification, the preference for leaving a job is not common. A research was carried out at a
public institution in Istanbul to test the relationship between psychological contract and job
satisfaction and organizational identification. Survey findings confirm this relationship. According
to result, it is concluded that organizational identification is effective in the relationship between
psychological contract violation and job satisfaction.
