ABSTRACT

Change in organizations had been the focus of many researchers during the past decade,
especially with the entry of information technology within business. Changes especially in
business can influence the performance of the employees and the performance of organizations as
well. The current study investigates the influence of certain factors (overcoming resistance to
change, implementing change in phases, communicating change, and engaging employees in the
change process) on change management in organizational human resources (HR). Utilizing a
sample of employees from Telecom Company in Kuwait, the results of the study indicated that
overcoming resistance and implementing change in phases have significant positive and
significant effect on change management in HR of Kuwaiti Telecom Company. On the contrary, to
the authors’ prediction, communicating change to employees and engaging employees in the
change process have a negative and insignificant effect on change management in HR of the same
company.
