ABSTRACT

This study examined the moderating effects of the level of team members’ satisfaction
with the group on the relationship between the level of the team members’ perceived leader
effectiveness and the members’ level of group cohesion. Using data from small, fast-forming,
short-duration team contexts, the results revealed that team members’ level of satisfaction with the
group moderated the relationship between level of the team members’ perception of their team
leaders’ effectiveness and the level of team members’ level of group cohesion. In addition, the
variable of team members’ perceived leader effectiveness gave good prediction of group cohesion
in high level conditions of members’ perception of members’ satisfaction with the group.
