ABSTRACT

A major factor in the organizations of today is the psychological empowerment of workplace employees. Empowered employees bring competitive success to any organization. Therefore, one of the major strategies of an organization is to raise psychological empowerment levels within its organizational structure. However, without detailed consideration of fair treatment and organizational justice, the affective effect of psychological empowerment is lost.

The aim of this study is to answer the question: Does Saudi public employees’ perceptions of organizational justice relate to their psychological empowerment? A sample of 265 employees yielded a 68% questionnaire response rate. Data were statistically analyzed using Pearson Correlation Coefficient, Enter Regression, T-test and SEM via the AMOS graphic programme. Findings illustrated a positive significant correlation between the mean scores of empowerment and dimensions of organizational justice (P<0.01). Interesting findings arose between the mean score of empowerment level dimensions. It is concluded that organizations should enhance organizational justice and employee psychological empowerment within their organizations.
