ABSTRACT
This study examined the moderating effects of the levels of the team leaders’ use of
various transformational leadership behaviors on the relationship between the level of team
cohesion and the level of individual extra effort. Using data from small, fast-forming, short-
duration team contexts, the results revealed that the level of the team leaders’ use of inspirational
motivation behaviors moderated the relationship between level of team cohesion and the level of
individual extra effort.
